Rugged and quiet, once home of “Lonesome George,” the last Pinta tortoise, now seabirds, marine iguanas, and sea lions thrive here.

Marchena

Remote, rarely visited, known for dolphins, sharks, and untouched landscapes.

Genovesa

Nicknamed “Bird Island.” Thousands of red-footed and Nazca boobies, frigatebirds, and swallow-tailed gulls. The bay is a collapsed volcanic caldera.

Bartolomé

Famous Pinnacle Rock, sweeping viewpoints and snorkel with penguins and colorful fish.

Pinzón

Tortoise conservation repopulation project, excellent snorkeling with sea turtles, rays, and sea lions in calm waters.

Rábida

Striking red sand beaches, sea lions, flamingo lagoons, and pelicans nesting on cliffs. Snorkeling often includes reef sharks.

Wolf

Remote diving mecca, famous for massive schools of hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, and manta rays.

Darwin

Legendary diving, Darwin’s Arch (collapsed in 2021) , whale sharks, hammerheads, and pristine marine ecosystems.
