Welcome to Isabela, the largest and one of the Galapagos’ most spectacular islands. You are sure to enjoy all of your time in this wild paradise. Today you will be arriving to the Island. You can choose between taking a flight from Baltra or a ferry to the port, both of which we can arrange for you. If coming by boat, you can try to look for dolphins and whales (July to October). Once on the Island we will have the transfer arranged for you with a taxi cab to our reception.
After checking into your rooms, we will meet in the reception to be picked up for the visit to Las Tintoreras. Tintoreras Islet is a short journey from Puerto Villamil. Its turquoise, crystalline waters are inhabited by a variety of marine life such as the white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, marine turtles and sea lions. Here is one of the main nesting sites for marine iguanas. Snorkeling, walking and even kayaking can be done in this attraction.
Afterwards you are free to relax at the hotel in one of the many lounge areas, walk the beach or even explore the town on your own.
We will be providing a special dinner this night at the hotel cooked by our professional chef.
After a night of well-earned rest, we will serve our breakfast buffet of fresh juices, coffee and tea with freshly cooked dishes and a cereal bar, there will be plenty of diversity to suite your tastes.
Fuel up for the hiking tour of Volcano Sierra Negra, the largest volcano of the six volcanoes that form Isabela, one of the most volcanically active places on the planet.
We will leave in the morning as this tour last around 6 hours and coming back around 14:00
Once your return from your hike, you are free to do as you please.
Tonight we will provide another excellent dinner at the hotel.
We will serve our delicious breakfast buffet again to get your ready for your third day of excitement on the island paradise.
Be sure to pacify your appetite for this walking and snorkeling tour of “Los Tuneles,” meaning the lava tunnels. These are older lava formations that have eroded into tunnels that make up the beach of this part of the island.
Here you will do a walk to see various endemic wildlife unique to the Galapagos; you are also sure to see the famous blue-footed boobies nesting in this area.
After the walk will be a snorkeling session to easily encounter many beautiful sea creatures such as sharks, sea turtles, seahorses and rays.
Once your return from your trip, you are free to do as you please. Tonight we will provide another excellent dinner at the hotel.
You will have an early ferry or flight off the island. Depending on the time of your departure you may have breakfast at the restaurant or be given a box breakfast to take with you on your journey.
